I am aware that the title of this post sounds like a peeping tom’s dream come true, but this is actually just a couple of photos of our bedroom, sans people. (Sorry, Tom.) We have been slowly working on making our bedroom presentable, and Nathan’s recent surprise purchase of a new mattress catapulted us into decorating mode.
Last night I went to Ikea. Three years, 100 miles, and one million dollars later, I drove home with what we needed for our room (and maybe a few extra things, like meatballs, a train track, pillows, frames, ratchet straps, a mixing bowl… dangit, Ikea, I’m helpless against your charms.). Today we took a much-needed break from our bathroom remodel to do something fun (not that hooking up a drain line for a new toilet isn’t fun…), and while it still needs some finishing touches, I’m pretty happy with the results:

So cute.
I love it! Your bed is as high as our guest bed. I wish I would have known you were going. I totally would have gone with, but it was probably better because I really don’t need to spend any more money there.
Love…well done!
oohh, lovely. i think i am sensing a design*sponge “before and after” here. ;)
Looks amazing. You have the touch girl. I know you’ll enjoy your new mattress!! Good job Nate.
um, love it.
You always seem to amaze me with your decorating skills!! Very cute..
