Congratulate me; baby Sophia and I have officially made it to 41 weeks. Besides being psyched out by an entire day of consistent contractions (and on my due date, no less), there hasn’t been much action around here. Being called overdue makes me feel like a deliquent library book, but the good thing about it is having absolutely nothing planned. After all, I thought I’d be lounging around with a newborn these days.
I’ve still been showing up for my regularly scheduled programming (church, Bible study), but other than that, I’ve been doing a lot of reading, walking, laying by/in various friends’ pools, and drinking slushees. The hundred-plus degree weather has inspired sympathy from a lot of people, but I’m actually feeling great overall and just waiting it out until she’s ready to make her entrance. Babies have to come out sometime, after all.

Well, you look great! And, you have a good attitude :) When I was ONE day past my due date, I started getting frustrated…but, only the Lord knows when that baby’s birth date will be! I’ll be praying for a smooth delivery. Love you guys!
I think its because she really wants me to walk to the farmer’s market with you tomorrow.
You are just the cutest pregnant woman ever.
you look great!
Stop rubbing how fabulous you look at 41 weeks in our faces. None of us will ever be able to come close.
This is a sinch. Just explain the 5th Commandment to her and then command her to come out!
So I have no idea how I even got here, but, I’m a friend of Brite’s and a virtual friend of your mama’s. And I just have to say – that is THE cutest maternity top I think I have ever seen.
stunning, jax. absolutely stunning. so proud of you for having such a great attitude. you’re such an inspiration to me. you’re right–babies do come out eventually. i’ll NEVER forget when my midwife told me that when i was pregnant with Lillian–”Lauren, the thing about babies is they ALWAYS come out–all by themselves! That’s what they do!” *smile* love you.
1. You look absolutely gorgeous. I have belly envy.
2. I cannot wait to see pictures of your girly when she arrives.
3. Plus also more pictures of your house. cheers
4. This was my attitude during a horrendous labor: I KNEW they had to get him out one way or another. It was the sleepless nights for two months that made me wonder if I ever wanted another one……..(and silly me, I do.)
Followed your link on fb. You really do look great and I agree- wonderful attitude! I’ve gone 41 weeks with 2 of my 3, and you’re right about the sympathy. Can’t wait to see pictures when she arrives (fashionably late, of course.)
